Both songs were originally credited to "The Monkees".
"The Was Then, This Is Now" was later changed to
"Micky Dolenz & Peter Tork Of The Monkees".

Davy didn't like the song and didn't participate in the recording
(and stepped off stage, when they played it)
So he demanded Arista amend the credits.

Test Copy

That Was Then, This Is Now (Both Sides)

With Davy wanting his name removed from this song,
instead of waiting for new promo labels Arista opted to just use these white labels.
So is this a test copy or promo or both?

I would think a test copy would have both songs on it,
because your testing to see how they sound.

But until we find a white label pressing
with both songs on it we won't know.

Promo

That Was Then, This Is Now (Both Sides)

Label credits are "Of The Monkees" so by the time
they had these printed the credit had been changed.
