In 1995 as Rhino was gearing up the for 30th Anniversary of the Monkees they released this box set for $399.
Demand was high for this set and Rhino sold out by the end of the year.

  Monkee Business Fanzine reported that the original order window had a deadline of August 1995.  Rhino initially was to produce only enough box sets to fill the orders they had taken, but they did end up making a few hundred extra for people who ordered late. Altogether, somewhere around 3000 sets were produced. 

The original release date was to be September 12th 1995 but it got pushed back a few weeks and
was released in October.  All 6 sides of the box were designed to look like an old beat-up TV set!

The entire first run was numbered and came with a limited edition Monkees watch
which was packed outside the box, attached to the shrink wrap.
(This is the same watch that was offered with the CD Collector Cards)

The box set was reissued on September 16, 1997 without the watch or the numbered edition. 
It sold for the original price of $399 but could be found online for $175-$199.
